this I believe

I've never really understood the meaning of the word, "PATIENCE." To me it just seemed as if it
it only meant something holy like. I just felt weird and confused not knowing what a simple word meant.
But one evening after school, my whole entire definition of PATIENCE was erased then engraved back into
my head again.

I love to sing. I love to act. I just love to express myself without feeling embarrassed because I go what
I love to do and just have fun doing it, and this I believe: That PATIENCE may hold the key to living out
your dreams. I am one of those people who don't follow their dreams, but instead they chase them. I've
always had big dreams of my own.

And yes I have accomplished one. Wanting to expose my talents in a wider view. My day was practically
normal. Not knowing what was in store for me in the future that dealt with my talents. A phone call made
to my mom about, "wanting to meet with me to set up a time and date to begin my training" really made the
rest of my day full of excitement. It turned out that my mom sent an audition tape of me singing and just
fooling around, which surprisingly the company of "World Talent" enjoyed watching.

I couldn't believe my ears! I had been singing for 8 years then and so i've waited that long for something
good to happen in my life. I arrived at World Talent dressed in my school uniform around 5 in the evening
with both my parents. The company's manager sat us down to discuss with us about my audition tape.
She had told my parents, "I would like to work with you daughter and help her progress in both her singing
and acting skills by taking it further, in having her audition for TV commercial and TV shows." I just couldn't
stop smiling that my cheek muscles were sore for about a good 2 hours.

My parents were both happy for me. But as the discussion came to "money", i'm talking about 12 grand
for a year of training. My heart raced as I knew that my parents aren't big-money spenders. They asked me one
question, "Is this what you really want to do?" I nodded and so they decided to pay for my training that night.
I felt so thankful that I didn't want the money to go to waste. I worked and pushed myself every time that I had
class. I didn't want to take any rest. After the one-year contract ended, my first audition was booked for
Nickelodeon. I went through the audition as calm as possible. Waiting for weeks, it turned out that being
PATIENT gave me my first call-back.

interview

"As the time grows near for me to leave home, what is the most important message or belief that you hope I will take with me and remember throughout my entire life?"

MOM: "Don't let anyone bring you down. As long as you know that you believe in yourself you can do good. In order for you to succeed you must fail. You must learn from your mistakes."

DAD: "Always follower your heart. Even though procrastination is bad, it can help you in the long run. Never give up on something you love. It will only bring you down. "

BOTH: "We love you no matter what decisions you chose to make in your life. We love you with all our hearts. We know we have raised you well enough to make the right decisions. You and your sisters are our true blessings in our lives."

allusion poem revision

I am a listener and a helper
A friend and a protector
I do no harm as I believe
That peace is a magical treasure

I walk on those who do betray
And let others free and walk away
I don't let burdens keep me from hurting
As I know I must keep working

Just like Ares, people judge me cause of my reputation
But I know that they are mistaken
My heart is not like a rotten core
Because I refuse to seek for war

I take the chance to show them proof
That nothings a lie but the truth
They've opened their eyes and finally realized
That they were all just fools
But I am still doubted by some
And trusted by many

ALLUSION POEM

I am defined by my reputation
I am no stranger, but a friend
I seek for peace and not war
Although others say i'm like a rotten core
Dealing with this burden
Makes me we want to feel respected
I take that chance to break open
To show them the truth
To have them realize
They are all just fools

I am now doubted by some,
But trusted by many.
